In REACHOUT, Deltares is the co-lead institute with CAS and will be mainly responsible for the management and coordination of the project, as well as communication and dissemination work.
Deltares was established in 2008 with the merger of WL | Delft Hydraulics, GeoDelft and parts of TNO and Rijkswaterstaat (Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management). This makes Deltares a young organization, built from components with a respectable reputation and extensive experience (more than 50 years). It commonly fulfils the function of advisor and technical arm of the State and commercial companies that seek practical solutions that generate a positive impact on society. It has around 900 professionals of more than 40 nationalities who carry out practical research and offer specialized advice in the Netherlands and abroad to clients who want to see the latest developments in knowledge applied.
