5. Implementing adaptation
Implementation of adaptation actions is usually guided by a dedicated adaptation strategy and an accompanying action plan. Alternatively, a plan for mainstreaming adaptation in the existing relevant policy fields could be developed (see Step 5.3). In either case, the plans are firmly based on the outcomes under steps 1 to 4.
